Facilities and Grounds Technician The Regional Learning Alliance (RLA) is a premier nonprofit learning and conference center located in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Facilities and Grounds Technician to assist with the care, maintenance, appearance, and operation of our facility, grounds, and outdoor spaces. This position is responsible for both facility operations and grounds maintenance, helping to ensure that our building and property consistently meet the high standards expected by our clients, tenants, and guests. Full Time, 40 hours per week, fully benefited position.

Thursday:
7:00 AM to 3:30 PM;
Friday:
9:30 AM to 6 PM;
Saturday:
6:30 AM to 3:00
PM Off:
Sunday and Monday Pay:
$19.00 per hour; After 6-month probationary period successfully completed: $20.00 per hour

Position Responsibilities:
Facility Custodial Services Clean and maintain meeting rooms, classrooms, offices, common areas, dining areas, restrooms, hallways, storage areas, patios, sidewalks, and building entrances Reset conference rooms and classrooms between client events Set up and tear down tables, chairs, displays, registration areas, trade shows, and special events Operate floor scrubbers, commercial sweepers, and other custodial equipment Clean floors, furniture, fixtures, windows, walls, and equipment while maintaining facility quality standards Remove trash and recycling and maintain a clean, organized facility Report maintenance concerns, repairs, and safety issues Assist with snow and ice removal at entrances and walkways Grounds Maintenance Mow lawns and trim grass areas Edge landscape beds and perform weed control Plant, water, mulch, and maintain flowers, shrubs, and landscape beds Deadhead flowers and properly prune shrubs and small trees Operate lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other grounds equipment safely Pressure wash sidewalks, patios, outdoor furniture, and building surfaces as needed Collect and remove leaves, branches, yard waste, and debris Empty outdoor receptacles and maintain parking lot areas and exterior grounds Assist with seasonal property maintenance projects
Additional Responsibilities:
Winter Operations and Snow Removal Operate a pickup truck equipped with a snow plow to remove snow from parking lots, roadways, entrances, and designated areas. Operate an RTV equipped with a snow plow for sidewalks, pathways, and other areas requiring smaller equipment. Apply salt and deicing materials using spreaders and other equipment. Assist with seasonal maintenance and care of snow removal equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, kneel, squat, climb, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow, ice, rain, and extreme temperatures.
- Ability to safely operate custodial equipment, grounds maintenance equipment, a pickup truck with snow plow, RTV with snow plow, and related equipment.
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18 years Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively Experience in commercial custodial work, facilities maintenance, groundskeeping, snow plowing, landscaping, or related fields preferred
