Responsibilities Perform landscape installation and maintenance tasks, including planting, mulching, fertilizing, and pruning to ensure healthy growth and vibrant aesthetics. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and lawn mowers to complete daily landscaping duties efficiently. Use power tools and machinery like excavators, trimmers, blowers, and snow plows safely and effectively. Maintain lawns through mowing, edging, aerating, and overseeding to achieve a pristine appearance. Conduct landscape repairs and hardscape installations including patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other features. Provide tree care services such as trimming, pruning, planting, or removal to promote safety and growth. Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of plants and turf. Assist with seasonal tasks like snow plowing during winter months to keep properties accessible and safe. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge for operating various landscaping machinery and tools safely. Extensive experience in lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and weed control. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques for gardens, turf management, and plant health. Proficiency with landscaping procedures such as hardscape construction and garden design principles. Ability to handle hand tools and power tools confidently while adhering to safety standards. Familiarity with equipment like excavators for larger construction or renovation projects. Expertise in tree care practices including trimming, pruning, planting or removal for safety and aesthetics. Understanding of horticulture basics for plant selection, soil preparation, pest control & irrigation systems management.
