Full-Time, Monday-Friday Summary:

The District Groundskeeper is responsible for the maintenance and repair of grounds, athletic fields, lawns, and playgrounds, etc.

Essential Functions:

Maintains the district grounds including seeding, planting, watering, fertilizing, mowing, trimming, weeding, dragging, leveling, rolling, etc Maintains the layout, design, and preparation of athletic fields for contests and practice Prepares and maintains athletic equipment used by participants, coaches, officials, and spectators Patches asphalt Cleans parking lots and removes trash Maintains and repairs turf Snow and ice removal Installs, repairs, and stores snow fencing Picks up, receives, transports, distributes and stores general school supplies, materials, and equipment as needed Receives, distributes, and stores groundskeeping related equipment and materials such as tools, machines, solar salt, chemicals, additives, seed, fertilizer and plantings etc Performs minor repairs, replacements, and preventative maintenance on groundskeeping equipment Performs other services or functions related to maintenance of district buildings, grounds, equipment, and supplies as directed Education and/or

Certification Required:

High School Diploma or GED Valid PA Driver's License Certified Pesticide Applicator Certification, preferred CDL, preferred

Experience Wanted:

Grounds keeping experience Grounds equipment operation experience

Requisite Skills:

Ability to understand and follow simple written or oral instructions Ability to read and implement field layout diagrams and instructions Ability to read and follow equipment operation and maintenance instructions Ability to read blueprints/plot plans Ability to work standing/walking for long periods of time Ability to work alone Ability to lift, push, pull, twist, stand, raise arms above shoulders, stoop to ground, and climb ladders and stairs Ability to work in noisy or dusty environments, inside and outside, and in extreme weather conditions Additional Details
