SEASONAL GARDENER / FARMER PT/FT

Private Estate in Newtown Square, PA seeks a seasonal gardener to work in a large vegetable garden under the direction of the Vegetable Garden Manager. Ideal candidate will welcome physical outdoor work and should have some knowledge of gardening or farming practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Prior experience and education in farming, horticulture or related field preferred Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently with little supervision Strong work ethic and great attention to detail Must have the ability to stand, walk, kneel and bend for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Including, but not limited to weeding, harvesting, planting, watering, mulching, fertilizing, washing produce Ability to use a variety of hand and power operated tools Assisting Vegetable Garden Manager and following directions to complete tasks efficiently Background check and references required Position starts in May and ends in late October. Hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 3:30, but can be flexible.
