Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic landscape team as a Landscape Laborer and become a vital contributor to creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. This energetic role offers the opportunity to work outdoors in various weather conditions, engaging in hands-on landscape projects that transform environments. As a Landscape Laborer, you will assist with a wide range of tasks including lawn care, landscape maintenance, planting, hardscape installation, and snow plowing. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help us deliver exceptional results for our clients while gaining valuable experience in the landscaping industry. Responsibilities Assist with lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, trimming, and fertilizing to ensure lush, healthy turf. Support landscape maintenance tasks including planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and installing mulch or soil amendments. Operate hand tools like shovels, rakes, pruners, and wheelbarrows to complete various landscaping tasks efficiently. Use power tools and equipment such as trimmers, blowers, and small excavators to prepare sites and perform detailed work. Contribute to hardscape projects by assisting with the installation of patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures. Perform tree care activities including pruning, trimming, and supporting tree health through proper horticultural practices. Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure proper watering of landscaped areas. Assist with snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible. Maintain equipment through routine cleaning and basic mechanical knowledge to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols at all times while working with construction tools or heavy machinery like excavators or power tools. Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating and maintaining landscaping equipment and power tools effectively. Experience in lawn care techniques such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration. Strong background in landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, mulching, and general gardening practices. Familiarity with landscaping principles and hardscape installation processes. Ability to use hand tools safely and efficiently for various outdoor tasks. Knowledge of operating small machinery such as excavators or skid steers is a plus. Understanding of tree care practices including trimming and health assessment. Experience with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting. Ability to perform snow plowing operations safely during winter seasons. Good physical stamina for outdoor work in different weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when needed. Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new techniques in horticulture or construction projects.
