Grounds Crew Member

Responsibilities Perform lawn mowing, edging, trimming, and general turf care using power tools and hand tools to keep landscapes pristine. Maintain flower beds, shrubs, trees, and other plantings through pruning, watering, fertilizing, and seasonal planting. Operate landscaping equipment such as excavators, snow plows, and other machinery safely and efficiently. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including hardscape repairs, irrigation system checks, and tree care activities like trimming and removal. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe pathways and parking areas. Support construction projects related to landscape improvements or hardscape installations by preparing sites and handling materials. Perform routine inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and address them promptly. Requirements Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating power tools, hand tools, excavators, or similar equipment. Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and weed control. Experience with landscape maintenance tasks such as pruning trees, planting flowers, installing irrigation systems or performing gardening activities. Familiarity with landscaping materials like hardscape elements (pavers, retaining walls) and horticultural principles. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in construction or groundskeeping is a plus; relevant certifications are advantageous but not required.
