About Holiday Acres Campground:

Holiday Acres Campground is a busy family campground located in North Scituate, RI. Operating for over 70 years, Holiday Acres Campground offers short term and seasonal camping to all types of RV's along with cabin rentals, special events, and activities throughout the season. Duties Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, and trimming to keep grounds looking pristine and well-kept. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for planting, weeding, aerating, and other gardening activities. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and adjusting schedules to ensure optimal watering of lawns and gardens. Conduct routine lawn care activities such as fertilizing, aerating, and overseeding to promote healthy turf growth. Assist with landscaping projects by planting new greenery, mulching beds, and installing features to enhance outdoor aesthetics. Perform general maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition. Support overall groundskeeping operations by monitoring plant health, removing debris, and ensuring safety standards are met. Qualifications The groundskeeper is focused primarily on the maintenance of their assigned areas. Approximately 32 hours per week, starting April 1. This can include but is not limited to:

• Picking up and disposing of garbage
• Mow, trim, and cut vegetation in and around sites in accordance with guidelines
• Ensure common area lawns are manicured appropriately.
• Ensure property is presentable and inviting at all times, and that it adheres to our curb appeal standards.
• Tree maintenance.

Requirements:

• Ability to operate lawn mower, chain saw and/or other power tools
• Perform minor building, equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Cut and stack firewood in wood cage.
• Ability to operate riding & push lawn mowers, weed-eaters, misc. lawn equipment.
• Ability to endure seasonal temperatures, as working conditions requires constant outdoor work.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
