Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a General Landscape Maintenance and Equipment Operator for a premier golf course. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, health, and functionality of the course's landscape, ensuring an exceptional experience for our members and guests. Your expertise in landscape maintenance, equipment operation, and horticultural practices will help create a pristine environment that reflects our commitment to excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills, and contribute to a world-class golf course. Duties Operate various power tools and landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and irrigation systems to maintain turf, greens, fairways, and surrounding landscapes. Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, fertilizing, aerating, and planting to keep the course in top condition. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing leaks, adjusting controllers, and ensuring proper water distribution across all landscaped areas. Use hand tools and gardening equipment to perform detailed horticultural work such as planting new vegetation or removing weeds. Conduct regular inspections of the grounds to identify and address issues related to turf health, pests, or disease; apply appropriate horticultural treatments when necessary. Assist with general maintenance tasks around the course including debris removal, soil leveling, and minor repairs to landscape features or equipment. Follow safety protocols when operating machinery or handling chemicals to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Skills Proficiency in operating power tools and landscaping equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency. Knowledge of irrigation systems including installation, troubleshooting, and repair techniques. Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices such as mowing, edging, pruning, and fertilization. Experience with lawn care techniques that promote healthy turf growth and aesthetics. Ability to use hand tools effectively for gardening and landscaping tasks. Familiarity with horticultural principles related to plant care, gardening practices, and pest management. Excellent attention to detail combined with physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
