Garden Center/Nursery Associate

The Green Thumb Landscaping and Garden Center is a one-stop shop for all landscaping, gardening, and retail needs. From host gifts to competitive landscape design installations- The Green Thumb has it all. We have catered to Hilton Head and Bluffton since 2009 and have a community-first mindset when serving our customers. We are seeking part and full-time Garden Center/ Nursery Associates. Flexible schedules are available. The position involves no nights and some weekends. The ideal candidate has a passion for gardening, flowers, nature, the outdoors, and has a high tolerance for varying temperatures, especially the peak summer heat! You must be comfortable with being dirty and fully immersed in the garden center. You either have basic plant knowledge (the more the better) or an eagerness to learn to be able to assist customers with questions.

Responsibilities:

Maintaining a welcoming environment and regularly fostering community Assisting customers with creating visually appealing planters Assisting customers with recommendations on shrubs and trees that will enhance their landscape Maintaining a visually appealing environment Ensuring displays are well-kept, clean, and pristine at all times Assisting customers with loading their vehicles when needed Assisting with plant watering when needed •We do not have a break room on-site as we have a small property. Your breaks would be taken outside in our designated employee area or your car. Tolerance for all-day heat is crucial to thrive in this position.•
