Responsibilities Assist with lawn care activities such as mowing, edging, aerating, and fertilizing to promote healthy turf growth. Perform landscape maintenance including pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, planting flowers, and mulching beds. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for tasks like digging, edging, and installing landscape features. Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stonework, and installing retaining walls or pathways. Operate equipment such as excavators and snow plows for site preparation or seasonal snow removal. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or installing sprinkler components to ensure proper watering. Conduct routine landscape inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards; perform necessary repairs promptly. Assist with tree care including trimming, pruning, and planting to enhance landscape health and aesthetics. Support gardening efforts by planting new greenery, watering plants, and maintaining soil health. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge to operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently. Experience with lawn care practices such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aeration. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques including pruning, planting, mulching, and irrigation system upkeep. Ability to use hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools (trimmers, blowers) confidently. Prior experience operating heavy machinery like excavators or snow plows is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of landscaping principles including horticulture basics and hardscape installation is desirable. Strong work ethic with the ability to follow safety protocols diligently. Physical stamina to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when needed.
