Job Summary:

At Willow Creek Gardens, our Garden Center Associates play a key role in creating a welcoming, knowledgeable, and inspiring environment for our community. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with plants, helping people, and being outdoors. Associates assist customers with plant selection and care while ensuring the nursery remains healthy, organized, and visually beautiful.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide friendly, personalized customer service by helping guests choose plants, flowers, trees, and gardening supplies Offer guidance on plant care, including watering schedules, sunlight needs, soil types, and seasonal maintenance Maintain the health and appearance of plants through watering, pruning, fertilizing, and monitoring for pests or disease Assist with receiving and organizing new plant shipments and inventory Create and maintain attractive displays that reflect seasonal offerings and highlight plant varieties Keep the nursery clean, safe, and inviting for customers Support checkout operations and handle transactions when needed Collaborate with team members to prepare for seasonal events and busy planting seasons

Qualifications:

Interest in gardening, plants, or horticulture (experience preferred but not required) Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for helping customers Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs (soil bags, planters, etc.) Dependable, positive attitude, and willingness to learn Availability to work weekends and during peak seasons (spring and early summer) What We Value at
