Job Description

JOB The Groundskeeper is a full-time, 12-month staff position responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and functionality of campus grounds. This position reports directly to the Supervisor of Landscaping and Grounds and works collaboratively with the grounds team to support campus operations.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS and DUTIES Provide upkeep of campus lawn to include: mowing, edging, fertilizing, seeding, trimming, and flowerbed maintenance. Help maintain the two creeks on campus. Work on a team to accomplish the goals laid out by the Grounds Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including landscaping and grounds.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Individual Contributor Work Environment:
Loud noises from ground equipment (protective equipment provided); outdoor settings, including work in all weather conditions .
Physical Demands:
Extensive w alking, standing, lifting/pulling up to 50 pounds, and bending.
Travel Required:
Yes - Minimal 10% to off-sight locations (TJC West Campus) If travel is required, the candidate must have and maintain a current, valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
