Join our Lawn and Maintenance Crew at Bay Area Landscapers and become a vital part of transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant, well-maintained landscapes. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of landscaping, lawn care, and maintenance tasks that keep properties looking their best. the job includes, but is not limited to trimming trees, operating power tools, managing irrigation systems, and all other facets of lawn care and maintenance. Spanish speakers are preferred, as the crew is mostly Spanish-speaking. As mentioned in the beginning, Experience is required, no exceptions. Do not call our office in regards to hiring. Duties Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure lush and healthy grass. Maintain landscape features by planting, pruning, trimming trees and shrubs, and performing seasonal gardening activities. Operate hand tools and power equipment such as trimmers, blowers, excavators, and other landscaping machinery safely and efficiently. Manage irrigation systems by inspecting for leaks or malfunctions and adjusting schedules to optimize water use. Conduct landscape maintenance including hardscape repairs, planting beds upkeep, and installing or repairing pathways. Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access and clear pathways. Identify plants and pests to support plant health management and implement pesticide or horticultural treatments as needed. Requirements Basic mechanical knowledge combined with experience in landscape maintenance or gardening. Familiarity with plant identification, horticulture practices, and pest management techniques. Experience operating various hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and construction equipment such as excavators. Knowledge of lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and turf management. Ability to perform tree care tasks such as trimming and pruning with proper safety procedures. Construction experience or familiarity with hardscape installation is a plus. Strong physical stamina with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions; willingness to perform snow plowing when necessary. Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards maintenance tasks and landscape projects. This role requires hardworking people who are no stranger to the heat and hard work.
