reviews Full-time Job Summary We are seeking Ground Support Equipment technician / mechanic with a minimum of (3) years of hands-on, in-depth experience in the inspection, repair, and overhaul of ground support equipment used in aviation ground operations. The ideal candidate will posses a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Inspect, service, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and overhaul ground support equipment and components such as chassis, body, drive-train components, engines, transmissions, electrical systems, fuel systems, running gear systems, and A/C supply, compression and delivery systems. Able to read electrical and hydraulic schematics. Perform preventative and routine maintenance such as oil changes, replacing/adding coolant and fluids, brake and tire changes, etc., on ground support equipment. Able to safely and legally operate a motor vehicle. Complete forms connected with work assignments according to established procedures. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in an effective, safe working condition. Report any safety violation, machining equipment misusage, and/or properly performed work to supervisor or lead. Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by federal, local, and state government, Mercury GSE, and HSE Procedures. Keep work area clean and free of any safety hazards. Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Mercury GSE reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of in-depth experience in ground support equipment Provide and maintain a complete set of tools necessary to perform job Possess and maintain a valid class C drivers' license Valid ASE certification or other Diesel certification is a plus Must be able to secure proper airport authority security badges. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with the role.
