Golf Course Groundskeeper

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Golf Course Groundskeeper to maintain the pristine condition of our golf course. This role involves performing landscape maintenance, turf management, and general upkeep to ensure an exceptional playing environment for our members and guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work, horticulture, and maintaining beautiful landscapes, with experience in lawn care and landscaping practices. Responsibilities Maintain and improve the overall appearance of the golf course through landscaping and turf management Operate irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of greens, fairways, and roughs Use hand tools and power tools for mowing, trimming, edging, and other groundskeeping tasks Perform routine maintenance on equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and other landscaping tools Implement landscape maintenance practices including planting, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control Assist with gardening tasks to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the course Ensure safety protocols are followed when handling equipment and chemicals Monitor course conditions regularly and report any issues requiring repair or attention Qualifications Prior experience in landscape maintenance, lawn care, or horticulture is preferred Knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance techniques Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Familiarity with gardening, landscaping, and turf management practices Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of course appearance Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions Ability to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision A valid driver's license is beneficial but not required Working Conditions Groundskeepers typically work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain. The job requires physical stamina, as it involves manual labor and operating heavy machinery. They may work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the golf course's schedule.
