Responsibilities Assist with landscape installation including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, ensuring proper placement and health. Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to maintain lush, healthy turf. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like trimming, pruning, edging, and installing hardscape features. Support irrigation system installation and maintenance to ensure efficient watering of landscapes. Conduct landscape maintenance activities including weed control, mulching, and seasonal snow plowing as needed. Aid in the construction of hardscape elements such as patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Assist with tree care tasks like pruning, trimming, and removal using appropriate equipment such as excavators or chainsaws. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris removal to uphold safety standards. Skills Mechanical knowledge combined with familiarity with landscaping equipment and hand tools. Experience in lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, and aeration. Knowledge of landscape maintenance techniques such as pruning, trimming, and planting. Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively for various landscaping tasks. Understanding of irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting. Basic construction skills for installing hardscape features like patios or walkways. Familiarity with horticulture principles including plant health and soil management. Ability to perform tree care activities such as trimming or removal with appropriate safety measures. Strong work ethic with attention to detail in gardening, snow plowing, or general landscape upkeep.
