Lawn Mower Operator

Position Overview Solar Vegetation Services is hiring an experienced Equipment Operator to operate zero-turn mowers and other vegetation management equipment on active solar and utility sites. This is hands-on outdoor work that requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. We are looking for operators who show up, work hard, and take pride in maintaining clean, safe sites. This is hands-on outdoor work that can be physically demanding. Crews work outside for 8-10 hour shifts in heat, cold, and other changing weather conditions. Responsibilities Operate zero-turn mowers and other landscaping/vegetation equipment Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Follow site maps and work plans to ensure complete coverage Maintain safety standards at all times Assist with trimming, clearing, and other field tasks as needed Communicate with Crew Lead regarding progress and issues Qualifications Experience operating zero-turn mowers or similar equipment required Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, and varying conditions Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and punctuality Ability to follow direction and work independently Travel availability (for travel crews) Preferred (Not Required) Experience on solar or utility sites Bilingual (English/Spanish) What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Steady project work during season Opportunity for advancement into Lead positions Travel per diem (for travel crews)
