Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Underground Utilities Worker and play a vital role in constructing, maintaining, and repairing essential underground infrastructure. This energetic position involves operating heavy equipment, reading blueprints, and performing precise utility installations to ensure safe and efficient utility services. Responsibilities Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and front loader trucks to excavate trenches and move materials efficiently. Perform utility locating using pipe lasers and other detection tools to accurately identify underground pipes and cables before digging. Read and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to guide installation and repair work. Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, gas, or oil systems with precision and adherence to safety standards. Conduct concrete finishing tasks such as forming, pouring, and smoothing concrete surfaces for utility vaults or access points. Use welding techniques to join pipes or repair damaged sections as needed on-site. Ensure safety compliance by following all construction site protocols and utilizing proper personal protective equipment at all times. Skills Proficiency in heavy equipment operation including dozer, loader, backhoe, excavator, forklift, and front loader truck. Experience with pipeline installation, plumbing systems, and oil & gas infrastructure projects. Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into physical work on-site. Skilled in utility locating techniques using pipe lasers or other detection tools. Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing processes for utility access points. Strong understanding of construction site safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors.
