About Us San Antonio City Soccer Club is a nonprofit organization in San Antonio, TX. We are a nationally recognized youth soccer club that was founded in 2004. We strive to provide the community enduring life experiences through the sport of soccer. We are one of San Antonio's top soccer organizations.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as our Soccer Complex Grounds Maintenance Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and preparing the soccer fields and surrounding areas for practices, games, and events.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and fertilizing the soccer fields Ensure irrigation system is functioning effectively Mark and line the fields according to regulations and game requirements Maintain and repair equipment used for field maintenance Monitor and control pests and weeds on the fields Assist with setting up and taking down equipment and signage for practices, games, and events Keep the surrounding areas clean and free of debris Collaborate with other grounds crew members to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of special athletic field needs, including field layout, set-up and maintenance. Knowledge of basic facility and equipment maintenance. Knowledge of irrigation systems and water wells. Interpersonal skills to support professional relationships with officials, coaches, parents, and the public.

Previous experience in groundskeeping or a related field is preferred Knowledge of soccer field maintenance techniques and equipment is a plus Ability to operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems Irrigation system knowledge is a must Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team Excellent time management and organizational skills Valid driver's license

Compensation Job Type:
