Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces. The ideal candidate will have a passion for landscape maintenance and a strong understanding of various techniques. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Duties Perform routine landscape maintenance, including mowing, trimming, right of way clearing, tree removal and mulching. Operate equipment such as chain saws, pole saws, blowers, chippers, tractors, and yard tools safely and efficiently. Conduct tree care activities including tree trimming and pruning to promote healthy growth. Utilize bucket trucks for high tree care tasks and ensure safe operation during all activities. Ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use. Skills Proficient in landscape maintenance techniques with experience in lawn care practices. Familiarity with rigging practices for safe operation of bucket trucks. Knowledge of tree care principles including proper trimming techniques and seasonal maintenance. Ability to operate a bucket truck safely for elevated work tasks. Excellent physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks over extended periods. Strong attention to detail with an ability to recognize potential issues that may arise. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on maintenance needs.
