Job Description

Job Summary We are currently seeking an Underground Fiber Construction Technician to support field operations related to fiber network expansion. This role involves hands-on work such as trenching, conduit installation, and drop bury activities, contributing directly to network reliability and service delivery. The position is focused on maintaining high-quality standards while following safety protocols, technical guidelines, and project requirements. This is a W-2 position offering long-term stability and the opportunity to be part of ongoing infrastructure development. Responsibilities Carry out fiber installation and construction tasks in underground environments, including conduit placement and drop installation Execute splicing, testing, and troubleshooting activities as required on assigned projects Complete work orders, daily reports, and job documentation accurately and on time Track materials used, production output, and hours worked according to company procedures Follow established safety practices, company standards, and client specifications at all times Participate in quality checks, inspections, and validation processes Address and resolve any issues identified during quality control reviews Take precautions to prevent damage to existing utilities, infrastructure, or surrounding property Qualifications Previous experience in fiber construction, installation, or telecommunications field work Ability to operate tools and equipment used in underground or field-based environments Basic understanding of network systems and fiber infrastructure Experience with low-voltage systems is considered an advantage Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions Good communication skills and ability to work within a team Valid driver's license may be required depending on project needs

$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
