Job Description
General Purpose Performs daily maintenance of baseball fields.
Reporting Relationships Supervision received:
Works under the immediate direction of the Field Maintenance Supervisor and general supervision of the Sports & Aquatic Director. Essential Functions Performing hands-on tasks including operation of 4-wheeler; raking, digging and moving earth and heavy objects; laying out bases and chalk lines; cleaning restrooms; picking up trash; other. Communicating maintenance and personnel issues to the Field Maintenance Supervisor in a clear and timely manner. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends, with notice. Minimum Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, employees, and the public. Decision making capabilities. Ability to work hard in physically challenging conditions. Preferred Qualifications Grounds maintenance experience Knowledge of Baseball / Softball Familiarity with hand tools Work Environment and Physical Demands Tasks may entail muscular strain, including walking, standing, stooping, sitting, reaching, and lifting - all in 100+ degree heat. Talking, hearing, and seeing are essential to performing job requirements. Common eye, hand, and finger dexterity is required for most essential functions.
