DFA manufactures a variety of dairy products, including cheese, butter, fluid milk, ice cream, dairy ingredients and more, under well-known and established regional brands.
GENERAL PURPOSE
Maintain the location's interior and/or exterior in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner (e.g., offices, warehouses, plant/manufacturing areas).
Compensation:
$22/hr
Schedule:
10 am
  • 6:30 pm (optional 30 min lunch) Tuesday
  • Friday 8am
  • 4:30 pm Saturdays Off Sunday, Monday
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping, organization, and management of walking surfaces Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing, and complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders Perform custodian duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, picking up debris, emptying trash cans and recycling, and general cleaning; these activities may include using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and footbaths in a sanitary manner; replenish supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies; notify appropriate contact or update supply sheet to re-order supplies Maintain cleanliness and safety of exterior of building; maintain outdoor facilities and grounds, which may involve operating a variety of power equipment for general grounds maintenance Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, management, or other staff members (e.g., help to coordinate and/or prepare for inspections and special events) Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE Implement all DFA GMP's and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required. Other duties may be assigned as required Making sure breakrooms, training rooms and conference rooms are clean and organize.
Perform or support mailroom function:
sorting incoming and outgoing mail/packages to correct buildings.
Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent Janitorial or cleaning experience preferred Certification and/or License
