Job Description

Landscape Technician Founded in 2016, Hive Pros is a handyman and light construction company providing small construction, maintenance, and landscaping services to property management companies and retail customers. Hive Pros is growing our landscaping division and looking for dependable team members who want steady work, clear expectations, and room to grow. We primarily service residential and multifamily properties throughout Northern Utah. Our crews take pride in keeping properties clean, professional, and well maintained. In this role, you will coordinate with management and office staff to prioritize work and travel between multiple properties in Davis, Weber, and Salt Lake Counties. The Landscape Technician provides landscape maintenance support across residential and multifamily properties. This role performs routine landscaping tasks under supervision while safely operating commercial-grade equipment and maintaining plant material, turf, and property grounds to Hive Pros standards. This position is ideal for someone who works hard, shows up consistently, and takes pride in clean, detailed work. Responsibilities Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal while interacting courteously and professionally with current and potential customers. Mow turf using commercial walk-behind and riding mowers Trim and edge using gas-powered string trimmers and stick edgers Operate backpack blowers to clear sidewalks, parking areas, and turf Prune shrubs and small trees to maintain healthy growth and appearance Maintain flower beds and landscaped areas Edge along sidewalks, curbs, fences, buildings, and fixed structures Remove trash and debris from landscape areas prior to mowing Mulch leaves and organic matter during mowing operations Perform hand weeding or use manual garden tools as needed Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment including cleaning, fueling, and inspection Remove dead plants and landscape debris properly Maintain a professional and respectful demeanor with property managers, tenants, and the public Report unsafe conditions or property damage to the Crew Leader or Production Manager immediately Follow all safety and compliance procedures Drive a landscaping truck and trailer between job sites Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications One or more years of landscaping experience preferred Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to drive a truck and pull a trailer Ability to read and write in English and accurately complete job documentation Maintain Hive Pros dress code and professional appearance Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to comply with all safety requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Understanding of and compliance with Fair Housing laws Availability to work evenings or weekends if necessary Mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and gas-powered landscaping tools Ownership of a reliable smartphone and ability to use scheduling and field software Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities Basic business math skills and legible handwriting Physical Demands Ability to lift and carry 40-50 pounds including mulch, debris, and equipment Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and twist throughout the workday Ability to load and unload equipment and materials from trailers Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods Ability to work in hot environments, including Utah summer temperatures exceeding 100°F Work Environment Work outdoors in varying weather conditions Extended work in direct sunlight Work near roadways and light automotive traffic Exposure to dust, fumes, mechanical and electrical equipment Occasional work near irrigation systems and water features Personal protective equipment is required and may include eye protection, hearing protection, safety vests, gloves, hard hats when required, long sleeves, etc. Advantages of Working at Hive Pros Competitive pay Cell phone reimbursement Paid vacation and holidays Flexible scheduling Company maintenance vehicle Company card for purchasing materials Consistent, year-round work
