Agri Beef's feedyards employ some of the most dedicated people in the business. To ensure our cattle are cared for properly and given a healthy, comfortable environment, our people manufacture and deliver feed, provide care for our animals, maintain our facilities and equipment, and provide administrative support to our teams and customers. DH Feeders in Eltopia, WA is seeking a seasonal Yard Crew team members. As a member of the yard maintenance crew, you will be expected to provide general upkeep and cleanliness on the feedyard premises.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Build fences Repair and maintain feedbunks Install and repair water lines and water tanks Complete farm maintenance and general building repairs Maintain a positive attendance record by demonstrating consistent and punctual attendance on a regular basis Perform other related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions as the job is located outdoors Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers Ability to print and speak simple sentences Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's is helpful Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Welding and heavy equipment experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred OR minimum of one month of related experience and/or training
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit, stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds
Staring Pay Rate:
$19/hour
