Job Description

We are seeking a reliable, self-motivated Ranch Caretaker to help maintain and care for a private ranch property. This is a flexible, part-time position with hours varying based on the seasonal and ongoing needs of the property. In exchange for caretaking services, the position includes a private 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom home on the ranch with a rental value of approximately $1,500 per month provided at no cost as well as hourly wages. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining property appearance and functionality, and is comfortable handling a variety of maintenance and repair tasks independently. Key Responsibilities Perform landscaping and general grounds maintenance, including mowing, trimming, weed control, and seasonal cleanup. Inspect, repair, and maintain ranch fencing. Complete light carpentry projects and basic property repairs. Monitor and maintain ranch buildings, structures, gates, and equipment. Identify maintenance issues and proactively address routine repairs. Assist with seasonal property preparation and weather-related maintenance. Keep the property clean, organized, and presentable. Coordinate with property owners regarding maintenance needs and priorities. Perform other general ranch caretaker duties as needed. Qualifications Experience with property maintenance, ranch work, farming, landscaping, construction, or a related field preferred. Basic carpentry, repair, and handyman skills. Ability to operate common landscaping and maintenance equipment safely. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Dependable, trustworthy, and self-directed. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred. Compensation & Benefits Flexible part-time schedule based on the needs of the property. Rent-free use of a private 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom house located on the ranch (estimated value: $1,500/month). Opportunity to live in a peaceful rural setting. Additional compensation may be available depending on experience, responsibilities, and workload. Schedule This position is part-time and on an as-needed basis. Workload may vary seasonally and according to property maintenance requirements.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
