Job Description

Arbutus Garden Management is a botanically minded estate gardening company serving private properties throughout Kitsap County. About Arbutus Garden Management LLC. At Arbutus Garden Management, we take pride in creating a sanctuary for our clients. We manage all of the garden's needs, from the soil to the trees, while clients get to enjoy the view. Our knowledgeable staff cares for the garden with a horticultural approach to detailed gardening. We look at the garden as a whole system and use holistic inspired gardening techniques. Description Our work centers around thoughtful, horticulture-driven care for established gardens and outdoor spaces, with a strong focus on detail, plant health, and long-term stewardship. We genuinely enjoy what we do and take pride in creating beautiful, well-cared-for environments for our clients. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who enjoy physical outdoor work and have an interest in horticulture, fine gardening, or landscape maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in detailed work, works well on a team, and wants to continue developing hands-on gardening skills in a supportive, high-standard environment. We currently are considering candidates looking for full-time, part-time, or seasonal work. Pay $17.25-$22/hour DOE.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist with garden maintenance, including weeding, watering, mulching, and general upkeep Learn proper plant care techniques and horticultural best practices Operate and maintain garden tools and equipment under supervision Participate in seasonal cleanups and garden preparation Support senior gardeners during landscape projects and installations Safely transport materials and equipment when needed Communicate clearly with team members and follow direction Maintain a strong work ethic and attention to detail
Position Requirements:
Interest in horticulture, gardening, or landscape maintenance Basic plant identification knowledge preferred, strong plant identification knowledge highly valued Fine gardening or landscape maintenance experience preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to lift, bend, kneel, dig, and perform physical work throughout the day Reliable transportation and strong punctuality Willingness to learn and follow detailed direction Truck and trailer experience preferred Benefits Competitive pay with potential for performance-based increases PTO accrual beginning after 3 months of employment Paid sick leave, with the option to use accrued hours for weather-related cancellations Supportive team environment with opportunities for growth and skill development in the field Experience levels may vary, but applicants should have a strong interest in horticulture and comfort with physical outdoor work.
