- Full-time Groundskeeper/Landscaper Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and self-motivated Groundskeeper/Landscaper to join our property maintenance team.
This position works alongside our current Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of a large commercial property. Responsibilities include landscaping, irrigation maintenance, grounds upkeep, parking lot and common area maintenance, and assisting with general property maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will have previous landscaping, groundskeeping, or property maintenance experience and be capable of working both independently and as part of a team. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to assist with a variety of outdoor maintenance tasks throughout the year. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the existing Groundskeeper to complete daily, weekly, and seasonal maintenance activities throughout the property. Assist in covering groundskeeping and maintenance responsibilities during vacations, absences, or peak workload periods. Perform seasonal grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, pruning, weeding, fertilizing, mulching, planting, transplanting, raking, and general landscape upkeep. Maintain landscaped areas, trees, shrubs, flower beds, parking lots, sidewalks, and common areas. Assist with seasonal cleanup activities, including leaf removal and storm debris cleanup. Perform light snow and ice mitigation during inclement weather as required. Remove litter and debris from parking lots, sidewalks, landscaped areas, and common spaces. Operate landscaping equipment including lawn mowers, weed trimmers, edgers, leaf blowers, spreaders, and other powered equipment. Operate company vehicles, pickup trucks, and trailers as required. Assist with the operation, maintenance, repair, and seasonal startup/shutdown of irrigation systems. Perform trimming and branch removal of trees and shrubs. Wash, maintain, and perform minor repairs on grounds equipment and tools. Assist with pressure washing, exterior cleaning, and other property improvement projects as assigned. Conduct routine inspections of the grounds and report maintenance concerns. Assist with minor property maintenance tasks as needed. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional appearance throughout the property. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, property maintenance, construction, or a related field preferred. Experience working on commercial properties is a plus. Valid Washington State Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Experience operating landscaping and maintenance equipment safely. Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and grounds maintenance practices preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday. Ability to work from ladders and scaffolding when necessary. Ability to safely operate powered equipment and vehicles. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, and wind. Compensation Compensation is dependent upon experience and qualifications.
