Job Description

Verdanterra Gardens is seeking an experienced gardener/horticulturist to join our team maintaining residential gardens throughout North Seattle. We specialize in thoughtful, organic garden care with an emphasis on plant health, fine pruning, aesthetics, and sustainable landscapes. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on professional gardening or horticultural experience who values quality-focused work over production-style landscaping. We are looking for a dependable, knowledgeable individual who can work both independently and collaboratively, communicate clearly with clients and coworkers, and contribute positively to a supportive team environment. Advancement opportunities are available for candidates interested in crew leadership and expanded responsibilities.

We provide year-round work with long-term maintenance clients and a four-day spring/summer/fall work week.   • 4 PM Qualifications Valid Washington State driver's license (required) 1-2 years professional experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, or estate garden maintenance Plant identification knowledge and understanding of plant care Experience with pruning techniques and seasonal garden management Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision Reliable, punctual, physically capable, and detail-oriented Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly and perform physical outdoor work throughout the day Comfortable working outdoors year-round in PNW weather Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning Preferred Formal horticultural education or training Experience leading crews or mentoring others Familiarity with organic landscape practices Experience maintaining high-end residential gardens
