Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and bring outdoor spaces to life with your energy and skill! In this role, you will be an essential part of maintaining and enhancing beautiful landscapes, working hands-on with a variety of landscaping projects. Your enthusiasm for outdoor work, combined with your technical knowledge, will help create inviting, well-manicured environments that delight clients and communities alike. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in landscape maintenance, plant care, and construction while contributing to vibrant outdoor spaces. Responsibilities Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and edging to keep grounds pristine. Operate hand tools, power tools, and small machinery including excavators and irrigation systems safely and effectively. Identify various plants, trees, shrubs, and flowers to ensure proper care and health. Support planting projects by preparing soil, planting new greenery, and transplanting existing vegetation. Maintain landscape features by performing hardscape work such as installing pathways or retaining walls. Manage irrigation systems for efficient watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Perform seasonal duties like snow plowing or winterizing landscapes to ensure year-round beauty and safety. Experience Prior experience in landscaping, gardening, or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Knowledge of horticulture principles including plant identification, pest management (including pesticide application), and landscape maintenance techniques. Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, and small construction equipment such as excavators is a plus. Experience with tree care activities like trimming or pruning enhances your ability to contribute effectively. Construction experience related to hardscape installation or landscape architecture is beneficial. Ability to follow safety protocols when handling equipment or chemicals related to landscape maintenance. Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are essential.
