In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and enhancing beautiful landscapes that inspire and delight. Your hands-on skills and knowledge of horticulture, lawn care, and landscape maintenance will help transform properties into vibrant, functional outdoor environments. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop your skills, and contribute to stunning landscape projects. Duties Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to ensure lush, healthy grass. Maintain gardens and plant beds through pruning, planting, weeding, and mulching to promote plant health and aesthetic appeal. Operate hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruners, and hoes for various landscaping tasks. Use power tools including trimmers, blowers, and chainsaws safely and effectively to shape trees and shrubs. Execute landscape construction projects involving hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures. Conduct tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and removal using appropriate equipment like the excavator or bucket truck when necessary. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules for different plantings and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Perform snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for clients or property owners. Assist with general maintenance tasks to ensure landscapes remain pristine throughout the seasons. Requirements Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience operating landscaping equipment and hand tools. Knowledge of lawn care practices, landscape maintenance techniques, and horticulture principles. Experience with landscaping construction projects including hardscape installations. Ability to operate power tools such as trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, and other landscaping machinery safely. Familiarity with tree care practices including trimming and pruning using appropriate equipment like excavators or lifts. Strong understanding of irrigation systems and garden management techniques. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy materials when needed. Prior experience in gardening or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is valued highly.
