Overview Join our dynamic team as a Grounds & Maintenance Staff member for the summer season! Camp Nicolet is seeking dependable Grounds & Camp Operations Staff to support the daily operations of camp during the summer season. This role is essential to keeping camp running smoothly and is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on, active work and being outdoors. Responsibilities Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, blowing, and aerating to keep grounds healthy and attractive. Conduct landscape maintenance such as planting, pruning, trimming trees, and shrubbery to promote growth and safety. Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently for various maintenance projects. Collect and manage trash from multiple locations across camp (including village areas) Sort and manage camp recycling Stock firewood bins for cabins and common spaces Support general upkeep of camp grounds including small repairs and painting projects Assist with daily operational tasks to keep camp clean and organized Maintain equipment through routine inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs to ensure operational readiness. Qualifications Age 18+ Reliable and consistent work ethic Enjoy working outdoors in all weather Able to work independently and as part of a team Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is highly desirable. Ability to operate landscaping machinery such as mowers, trimmers, excavators, or similar equipment is preferred. Physical ability to perform outdoor labor including lifting, bending, digging, and working in various weather conditions.
