Job Description
Job Summary Our team at Jed's Tree Service is looking for a dependable, hardworking Grounds Crew / Machine Operator to join our tree service team. This position involves supporting tree removal, stump grinding and land clearing operations while safely operating heavy equipment and maintaining a clean, efficient work site. Duties Operate heavy machinery such as bucket trucks and other landscaping equipment safely and efficiently to support tree care, and landscape projects. Perform tree trimming, stump grinding and removal with precision to promote healthy growth and safety Use rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or trees during removal or maintenance tasks Conduct general grounds keeping Maintain equipment such as chainsaws and other power tools, ensuring proper safety protocols are followed at all times Qualifications Experience in tree service, landscaping, construction, or heavy equipment operation preferred. Ability to safely operate or willingness to learn heavy machinery. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus. Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude. Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions. Safety-conscious with attention to detail. Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, or forestry equipment. Knowledge of tree rigging, chainsaw safety, and wood chipper operation. Pay based on experience!
