Fields Groundskeeper

Fields Groundskeeper Manitowoc, WI 54220 Part-time Part-time Position Summary This position works within our building and grounds department and oversees the preparation of the turf playing fields for athletic and special events. This position will facilitate the setup and breakdown of all necessary equipment needed for these facilities. Essential Job Functions Manage all field prep, including, but not limited to, turf management, edging, mound, and plate prep. Perform pregame, post-game field and turf maintenance as necessary. Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner and keep in excellent working condition. Assist with stadium operation tasks that relate to the general upkeep and cleanliness of the ballpark and concession stand. Excellent communication skills with those who utilize facilities, this includes principals, athletic director, grounds keepers, and other staff. General cleaning of the facilities, which includes restrooms, parking lots, bleachers, concession stands, and other areas around the concession stands. Trim trees located at both of the fields. Lawnmowing at both facilities. Proper regular upkeep of the turf surfaces. Other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency Valid Wisconsin Driver's License Experience working in facility repairs and maintenance. Ability to develop strong positive constructive relations with department co-workers, building staff and administration Knowledge and experience operating and maintaining trucks, tractors, skid steer, lawn mowers and other grounds equipment Experience loading/unloading trailering various machines and equipment Ability to read and interpret basic operating instructions/manuals Ability to work effectively and efficiently alone and in a team environment. Must possess strong interpersonal and relationship skills
