Landscape Laborer Kearneysville, WV 25430 From $15 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Seasonal From $15 an hour - Temporary, Part-time, Seasonal Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Landscape Laborer and play a vital role in transforming outdoor spaces into vibrant, functional, and beautiful environments! In this energetic position, you will assist with a wide range of landscaping tasks, from planting and lawn care to hardscape installation and maintenance. Your hands-on work will contribute to creating inviting landscapes that enhance property value and curb appeal. Duties Assist with landscape maintenance activities including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning to keep outdoor spaces pristine. Operate hand tools and power tools such as trimmers, blowers, shovels, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently. Support the installation of hardscape features like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and garden beds. Perform landscape planting tasks including shrubbery, flowers, trees, and other horticultural elements. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or installing components to ensure proper watering. Conduct snow plowing during winter months to keep pathways safe and accessible. Support tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth. Skills Mechanical knowledge for operating various landscaping equipment and tools effectively. Experience with lawn care practices including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control. Familiarity with landscape maintenance techniques for gardens, lawns, trees, and shrubs. Ability to use hand tools (shovels, rakes) and power tools safely while maintaining precision. Knowledge of excavators or other construction equipment for site preparation or hardscape installation is a plus. Understanding of horticulture principles related to plant health and landscape design. Ability to perform tree trimming and tree care tasks with safety awareness. Basic construction skills for installing hardscape features like patios or retaining walls. Experience with irrigation systems installation or repair enhances your versatility on the team. Strong work ethic with attention to detail in gardening, landscape maintenance, snow plowing, and general upkeep. Join us in creating stunning outdoor environments!
