Job DescriptionOverview:
The Autonomous Technician is responsible for safe monitoring, operation, troubleshooting, and support of autonomous farm orchard sprayers, and related precision agriculture systems. This role ensures equipment performance, field safety, regulatory compliance, and data accuracy while maintaining high operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on field position requiring technical aptitude, strong safety awareness, and the ability to respond to real-time system alerts and field conditions. Must be able to work during day or night schedules. Some travel may be required.

Monitor and supervise autonomous orchard sprayers and support equipmentLaunch and configure field operations using onboard and remote software systemsSet field boundaries, geofencing, and task parametersRespond to alerts and intervene manually when requiredPerform pre
  • and post-operation inspectionsMaintain equipment to meet readiness and operational needsIdentify and resolve basic mechanical or GPS-related issuesMaintain accurate field and equipment logsEnsure safe interaction between equipment and field crewsPlan, organize, and coordinate activities pertaining to the Pest Control applications, calibration knowledge requiredImplement recommended treatment programs to achieve effective, economic controlWork at times up to 7 days a week and between 50-75 hours per weekCommunication with Spray and Ranch SupervisorsQualificationsHere's what you'll bring to the table: Bilingual; English/Spanish desiredAbility to read and write in
EnglishMathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures including converting units of measuresBasic computer skills or the ability to learn them (email, scan reports, basic writing skills)Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tablets/mobile appBasic mechanical skillsStrong safety awareness and accountabilityBe able to lift 50 lbs. on a continuous basis and 100 lbs. on occasionMust possess a valid drivers' license, good driving record18 Years of age or older
Pay Range:
$22.00
  • $24.
00 per hour. Final Compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
