This individual will leverage their knowledge of soil health and plant care to provide premium fertilization services, while being fully trained to execute our high-standard mosquito control protocols. This role will be a critical part of our early team, driving service delivery and customer experience, and have opportunities to grow with the organization over time if desired. Who We Are The Backyard Care Company is an Atlanta-headquartered residential property services company that prioritizes both quality outcomes for our customers and considerations for human and environmental health. We provide best-in-class mosquito control and lawn fertilization services. We intend to expand throughout the Southeast in the coming years and have the aspiration to build a national brand in time. The Role This is a role for someone who understands that building a new company is deeply rewarding but requires everyone involved to be scrappy and solution-oriented. This person will be in the field, interacting with customers, and performing all of our core services in both residential and commercial contexts. This role will be heavily involved in 2 key areas. Service delivery Customer experience and communication This is an hourly part-time role, but as the market steadily expands, there is an opportunity for this to become a more robust role. We will be adding full-time roles as the market grows, and we want to promote technicians from within! This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia Qualifications The right individual for this position will be self-motivated, take pride in their work, and be eager to grow within the company as it scales. Dedication to quality service, an ownership mentality, responsibility to commitments, a willingness to learn, and the desire to solve new challenges as they occur are also key.

Other requirements include:

Minimum 2 years in professional lawn care, landscaping, or garden maintenance (specifically fertilization/herbicide application). A valid driver's license and a clean driving record A high school diploma or equivalent The ability to work independently throughout the work day The ability to load and carry/wear a backpack-style sprayer or applicator The ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of fertilizer or other relevant materials A willingness to work outside in different types of weather conditions Experience with residential services, pest control, route-based businesses, or logistics is valued but not required
