Operations Manager Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Spray Technician to join our team. The Spray Technician is responsible for applying chemicals, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and other treatments in a safe and effective manner. The role requires knowledge of equipment operation, chemical safety, and application best practices to ensure optimal results and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and apply chemical treatments to designated areas (e.g., lawns, buildings, industrial surfaces, ornamental plants) using sprayers and related equipment. Identify pest, weed, or disease issues and recommend appropriate chemical solutions. Mix and load chemical solutions following label instructions and safety guidelines. Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate chemical distribution. Maintain and clean spray equipment, tools, and vehicles. Maintain accurate application records, including chemicals used, areas treated, and weather conditions. Monitor treated areas for results and perform follow-up applications if needed. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding chemical usage and safety procedures. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals. Communicate with clients or supervisors regarding treatment plans and outcomes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. GA Pesticide Applicator's License or ability to obtain one within [6] months of hire. Experience in chemical application, landscaping, pest control, agriculture, or related field preferred. Basic mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Good physical condition and ability to lift 50 lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
Work Environment:
Outdoor work in various weather conditions. Exposure to chemicals and fumes with appropriate safety measures. May involve early morning or weekend hours depending on project needs.
