Quality Care Lawn has been serving the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids area since 1980. We have a great reputation for quality service. We are a fast-growing lawn care company in the corridor, and are a fun and friendly place to work. Our Licensed Lawn Health Care Technicians are responsible for preserving and maintaining lawns and landscapes for both residential and commercial clients. Lawn Health Care Technicians serve as the face of the company while performing maintenance on the client's property.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Utilize pesticides by applying the needed amount from diagnosis. Identify issues with clients' landscape and communicate, educate, and sell the client on services provided. Educate the client regarding the diagnosis and the prescribed pest control, aerification, and fertilization services we offer. Regularly maintain and operate sprayer and truck. Store equipment and supplies in a safe manner. Be sensitive and respectful of equipment and customers' property at all times. Display honesty and respect at the work site and when working with coworkers and customers. Arrive at designated facility/property on time, ready to perform duties. Follow company policies and procedures at all times. Assist in other departments as needed.Required Qualifications and Skills:
Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to obtain proper licenses from the state of Iowa to apply chemicals. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have excellent verbal communication skills and attention to detail. Have at least one year of lawn care experience (preferred).Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to perform the following physical activities: Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.Working Conditions:
This position is exposed to equipment movement hazards, dirt, noise, temperature extremes, direct sunlight, dampness, and chemicals/solvents. There are possible hazards from moving equipment and possible electrical shock. There is constant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day. This is a fast-paced work environment with a significant amount of pressure.Job Type:
