Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Commercial Applicator / Operations Specialist to join our team. This role combines custom application services with operational support at our agribusiness locations. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and eager to provide excellent service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely and efficiently operate and calibrate application equipment.
  • Mix, load, and apply fertilizers and crop protection products according to recommendations and label directions.
  • Operate equipment computers, tender trucks, forklifts, loaders, and other machinery.
  • Perform daily vehicle and equipment inspections; complete preventative maintenance.
  • Deliver bulk and packaged chemicals, NH3 tanks, and other products to customers.
  • Keep accurate application, spray, and maintenance records.
  • Maintain clean and orderly facilities, equipment, and work areas.
  • Provide excellent customer service and promote a positive company image.
  • Assist mechanics and other departments with general operations during off-season (elevator assistant, mechanic, or truck driver).
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; one to three years of related experience preferred but not required.
  • Class A CDL required or ability to obtain; Hazmat, tanker, and doubles/triples endorsements preferred.
  • Commercial Pesticide Applicator's License (1A) preferred; willing to train the right candidate.
  • DOT physical certification; minimum age 21.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug screenings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work long/seasonal hours when needed.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
