Duties Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, weedeating, trimming, sod installations, various landscaping tasks, etc. Maintain landscape features including planting, pruning, tree trimming, and shrubbery care to promote growth and aesthetic appeal. Operate hand tools and power tools safely for tasks like digging, planting, edging, and general maintenance. Knowledgable on Commercial grade equipment and how it is used. Install and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of lawns and gardens. Construct or repair hardscape elements like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other landscape features. Conduct routine landscape maintenance including mulching, weeding, pruning trees, and gardening tasks to keep outdoor spaces vibrant. Assist with construction projects related to landscaping or outdoor improvements while adhering to safety standards. Maintain all tools and equipment in excellent condition through regular inspections and repairs. Experience Must have at least 2 years prior experience in a commercial lawn care and landscape maintenance setting. Training is provided on the job. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating various power tools and machinery safely and effectively. Familiarity with horticulture principles, tree care techniques, and gardening practices is a plus. Experience with irrigation systems installation or repair enhances your versatility on the job site. Knowledge of construction processes or hardscape installation can contribute to successful project completion. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards is essential. Strong communication skills are helpful for collaborating with team members and understanding project requirements.
