This position would oversee the day to day operations in their respected zone covering all aspects of Fertilizing. In a Technician role it is expected to follow all safety rules and procedures. Must be hard working, able to make decisions, and work independently.
  • Mix and Manage Chemicals (Turf)
  • Calibrate Machines and Perform Routine Weekly Maintenance (Turf)
  • Ability to Operate and Care for All Equipment
  • Ability to Diagnose Turf Issues and Solve Problems
  • Paperwork Complete and Accurate
  • Ability to Communicate with Clients
  • Follow Basic Safety Practices
  • Ability to Operate Machine Capable of Loading Material Onto Trailer
  • Certified Applicator 3B (Ornamentals) and 7A (Mosquito)
  • Mix and Manager Chemicals - Tree & Shrub
  • Calibrate Machines - Tree & Shrub
  • Ability to Diagnose Insects and Diseases of Plant Material
ADDITIONAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Maintain current Chauffeur License
  • Hold a current Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) Card
  • Certified Applicator holding a 3A, 3B, and/or 6J license
  • Other licenses or categories may be required
  • 2-4 years of experience preferred
EDUCATION
This position requires a minimum education level of: High School Diploma.
Preferred:
Bachelor Degree in related field
EXPERIENCE
2-4 years' experience preferred in fertilizer, turf and/or pesticides .
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge of computers, including e-mail and word processing abilities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
