Certified Pesticide Applicator / Fertilization Technician Larsen's Landscaping LLC is seeking a dependable Certified Pesticide Applicator/ Fertilization Technician to join our team. This position is responsible for applying fertilizer, weed control, and other turf treatments to residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in delivering quality results, and follows all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Application Accurately mix, transport, and apply fertilizers, herbicides, and insecticides to residential and commercial properties. Equipment Operation Safely operate and maintain equipment including ride-on sprayers (Z-Sprayers), push spreaders, and spray pumps. Compliance & Safety Follow all Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) regulations and label requirements. Strictly adhere to label directions, SDS guidelines, and PPE requirements to ensure environmental and user safety. Record Keeping Maintain accurate and timely daily service records including product usage, treatment areas, and weather conditions to meet Michigan regulatory requirements. Customer Service Communicate with customers in a professional and courteous manner. Inspect lawns for pests, diseases, and turf health concerns to help provide excellent service. Requirements Prior lawn care or fertilization experience preferred (training available for motivated candidates) Valid Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Core + 3A, 3B, 7A and 7F) Valid Michigan Driver's License with a clean driving record Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card and Chauffeur's License within 30 days of hire Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical outdoor work in varying weather conditions Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team Working smartphone for job communication and reporting Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) Sick Pay Holiday Pay 401(k) with Company Match (for qualified employees) Year-round or seasonal employment options
