Lawn Maintenance Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Lawn Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic landscaping team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining beautiful, healthy lawns and landscapes by performing a variety of groundskeeping tasks. Responsibilities Mow lawns using power tools such as mowers and trimmers to achieve a clean, even cut. Perform landscape maintenance tasks including edging, trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and visual appeal. Operate hand tools and power equipment like blowers, hedge trimmers, and lawn aerators safely and efficiently. Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, or adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering schedules. Assist with tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, and planting to support healthy tree growth. Execute snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access for clients and staff. Support hardscape projects by preparing sites, laying pavers or stones, and maintaining pathways or patios. Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance to keep tools in optimal condition. Collaborate with team members on larger landscaping or construction projects requiring excavation or heavy machinery operation like excavators. Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Experience Prior experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates eager to learn. Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and small machinery is highly advantageous. Familiarity with horticulture principles, tree care techniques, and irrigation systems enhances your effectiveness in this role. Experience operating equipment such as excavators or snow plows is a plus but not mandatory. Strong work ethic with the ability to perform physical tasks outdoors in various weather conditions.
