Lawn Care Specialist

We're hiring an experienced Lawn Care Technician who specializes in lawn fertilization and weed control. This role is responsible for applying fertilizers and treatments, diagnosing turf issues, and delivering consistent, high-quality results for residential and commercial clients. Key Responsibilities Apply lawn fertilizers, herbicides, and other turf treatments safely and accurately Diagnose and treat common turf issues (weeds, disease, pests, nutrient deficiencies, etc.) Perform lawn inspections and recommend treatment plans based on site conditions Calibrate and maintain application equipment (spreaders, sprayers, etc.) Mix products according to label requirements and company standards Maintain accurate service records (applications, product usage, notes, customer updates) Follow all safety procedures and applicable regulations (PPE, signage, chemical handling) Communicate professionally with customers and answer basic lawn care questions Maintain clean, organized work vehicles and equipment Requirements Minimum 5 years of professional experience in lawn fertilization and weed control (required) Strong knowledge of turf grasses, seasonal treatment programs, and common weeds Experience with liquid and granular applications and proper calibration techniques Ability to work independently, manage a route, and stay on schedule Valid driver's license and clean driving record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong attention to detail, reliability, and professional demeanor Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Applicator/pesticide license (or ability to obtain quickly, if required in your state) Experience with route-based lawn care programs and customer-facing service Basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Company truck/route vehicle (if applicable) and equipment provided Steady work with a professional, supportive team Opportunities for growth as the company expands
