2692 The position of Lime Applicator is of great significance to Valley Wide Cooperative. A person in this position is responsible for the operation of custom application equipment in the application of lime to customer's fields in a safe, accurate, efficient and timely manner. This is a safety-sensitive position.

Job Summary:

These are the basic requirements of the position and must be performed competently. Loading and mixing lime formulas. Ability to follow and interpret lime labels. Performing all applications in a timely manner and on schedule. Maintaining application logs and other records as necessary. Reading field maps and global positioning devices. Working around and handling hazardous materials properly. Performing daily inspection of equipment and minor repairs as needed. Willingness to work extended hours as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS/PREREQUISITES

High School diploma or GED preferred. Must currently have or ability to obtain Professional Applicators license with all applicable endorsements. Must have a Class A CDL. Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Must have strong communication skills; ability to communicate in an appropriate, professional manner with managers, supervisors, employees, customers, vendors and the general public. Must be able to make appropriate decisions and execute them according to policy. Must maintain appropriate and expected levels of customer service throughout the location. Must have ability to determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance. Must exhibit a professional and positive image.
