Role:

The Irrigation Specialist Garden Center position helps customers select the right products and solutions, shares expertise with team members, and supports store sales. You will be the go-to expert for irrigation and dry goods, troubleshoot irrigation setups, and guide customers toward the best solutions.

Responsibilities:

Advise customers on fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, soils/amendments, irrigation systems, tools, and landscape products Recommend complete solutions and assist during peak hours Serve as in-store expert for dry goods and irrigation Diagnose customer needs and explain solutions clearly Troubleshoot irrigation plans and controller setups Build relationships with customers, contractors, and landscapers Support contractor sales associates and mentor staff Assist at registers and maintain the sales floor

Requirements:

3+ years experience with lawn & garden dry goods products, irrigation systems and parts. Include experience with irrigation solutions, systems, and components preferred Deep product knowledge and ability to explain products clearly Proven retail sales and strong customer service skills Comfortable standing for long periods in a fast-paced environment Ability to recommend store products over home remedies Irrigation certifications preferred Experience with contractors or professional landscapers preferred Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Hours & Shifts:

This is a part-time position scheduled during our highest customer traffic times. Employees can expect to generally work 4-5 hour shifts between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with weekend availability, and average 20-25 hours per week depending on the time of year.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly, non-exempt: $20
