Responsible for maintaining outdoor grounds and landscapes to ensure a clean, attractive, and healthy environment for residential and commercial properties. Duties include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, pruning trees and shrubs, planting flowers and other greenery, removing weeds, raking leaves, and applying fertilizers or pesticides as needed. Operates landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools safely and efficiently. Performs routine maintenance on tools and machinery. Assists with seasonal tasks, including snow removal, mulching, aerating soil, and irrigation system upkeep. May help install new landscaping features, such as walkways, retaining walls, or garden beds. Works outdoors in various weather conditions and may be required to lift and carry heavy materials. Takes direction from supervisors and collaborates with team members to complete work assignments on schedule. Exhibits attention to detail and follows safety protocols at all times. Maintains a professional and courteous attitude while interacting with clients and coworkers. Previous experience in landscaping or groundskeeping is helpful but not required; willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are essential. Reliable transportation to job sites is preferred.
