Pesticide Applicator

Job Overview We are seeking a certified Pesticide Applicator to join our landscaping team. This role focuses on the safe and effective application of herbicides, insecticides, and other pest control products across commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate is licensed, detail-oriented, and knowledgeable in integrated pest management practices and safety protocols. Duties Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to lawns, landscape beds, trees, and shrubs in accordance with state regulations and safety standards. Identify pests, diseases, and weeds and determine appropriate treatments. Maintain accurate records of applications, including products used, weather conditions, and treatment areas. Inspect properties for signs of infestation and report findings to team leaders or property managers. Operate and maintain spray equipment, backpack sprayers, and utility vehicles. Comply with all state and federal regulations related to pesticide handling, storage, and disposal. Provide excellent customer service and explain treatment plans to clients when needed. Coordinate with irrigation and maintenance teams to support overall landscape health. Keep up-to-date with licensing, certifications, and best practices. Requirements Valid Utah Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (License Type 4000). 1+ years of experience in pesticide application, landscaping, or a related field. Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) techniques. Ability to identify common turf and landscape pests and diseases. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and lifting up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Good communication and record-keeping skills. Bilingual a plus but not required.
