The office is outside. This job requires weekends. Neptune Nursery in Palm City is looking for an assistant manager who has experience working in the nursery business. This individual must have plant knowledge, understand how to take care of plants and be able to provide great customer service. Must have excellent customer service skills. Horticulture Degree is a plus. The ideal candidate possesses the following qualities: leader, positive personality, hard-worker, possesses great customer service skills, self-starter, retains information, completes assigned tasks in a timely manner, team player, flexible, exhibits great management skills, great with sales, and reliable. The assistant manager must also be able to multi-task. Some of the assistant manager's duties include: Knowledge of the sod, plants, palms, mulch and materials we sell. Helping retail and wholesale customers select plants and landscaping materials. Creating/assisting with the agenda for employees for the week. Organizing/running the office smoothly (e.g., answering calls, assisting customers with plants, rocks, pottery, taking deliveries, managing orders, drivers, plant material, ordering materials for the nursery, keeping offices clean, etc.). Helping manage the nursery team and vendors. Creating schedules. Helping with payroll. Can use a register and can count money. Able to use a cell phone and computer. Miscellaneous duties.
Skills Required:
Able to use a register, computer, WORD, Google Docs, iPhone, and count money. Being bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus. A valid driver's license is required for this position. Horticulture Degree/Knowledge (knows their plants and palms etc). Please do NOT apply if you can't work weekends. Monday-Friday the hours are 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday the hours are 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Sundays the hours are from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Call the office a t 772-223-5287 if you are interested!Job Type:
